Did you know that you can travel to almost everywhere in Ida Grove on the Pleasant Valley Trail (see the red line in the above map)? The trail runs from the far northern reaches of Moorehead Park (which is approximately 1 mile from downtown Ida Grove), travels underneath the Hwy 59 & 175 bridge and crosses the river on a pedestrian bridge. Once you cross over the bridge, turn left (east) and you will be taken directly to Main Street. You can also turn right (west) to enjoy a scenic trip around Ida Grove, passing by the high school, hospital, country club, Ida Grove Rec Center and outdoor swimming pool, and straight into downtown. The overall length of the Ida Grove loop of the trail is approximately 3.76 miles.
