Ida Grove, Iowa

The City Council of the City of Ida Grove met in special session at the Council Chambers at 5:00 p.m.   Mayor Dennis Ernst presiding.  Councilmembers present:   Paul Bargar, Robert Fineran, Craig Rupert.  Council members absent:  William Carnine, Paul Cates  Guests in attendance:   Beth Wolterman, Donald Murray, LaVonna Murray, Nancy Johnson, Verdean Bremer, Curt Rector

Mayor Ernst asked for additions to the agenda:  No one proposed any additions 

Moved to approve the agenda as presented.

Approved unanimously.

Discussion was held on the professional competency & job performance of City Clerk Cindy Murray. 

Several guests present spoke in favor of City Clerk Cindy Murray’s job performance.

After discussion and a recommendation by Mayor Ernst, Councilman Craig Rupert made the motion to terminate Cindy Murray’s employment immediately and seconded by Councilman Bob Fineran.

Ayes:  Craig Rupert, Robert Fineran

Nays:  Paul Bargar

Moved by Craig Rupert and seconded by Robert Fineran to adjourn subject to the call of the Mayor.

Approved unanimously.
