The City Council of the City of Ida Grove met in special session at the Council Chambers at 5:15 p.m.Mayor Dennis R. Ernst presiding.Councilmembers present: William Carnine, Paul Bargar, Rick Heeren, Tom Peterson.Councilmembers absent: James Weary.

Moved to approve the agenda as presented.

Approved unanimously.

The Mayor opened the public hearing for the purpose of amending the current budget of the city for fiscal year ending June 30, 2006.

No one appeared for or against the amendment and no written comments were received.

The City Clerk presented the proposed budget amendment for fiscal year 2006. The fire department received monies for an accident with the fire truck and the truck was repaired. A new lift station was needed to serve a new annexed area. An emergency occurred at the wastewater treatment plant when the rbs unit media broke loose and replacement of all the media was necessary. A major hospital expansion required the city to loop the water main for better fire protection.

Moved to close the public hearing.

Approved unanimously.

Councilman Heeren introduced Resolution Number 2006-10 which is a resolution amending the current budget for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2006 and moved its adoption. Councilman Bargar seconded the motion to adopt. Whereupon the Mayor put the question and the vote was:

Approved unanimously.

Resolution Number 2006-10 is a resolution amending the current budget for the fiscal year ending June 2006. Resolution Number 2006-10 is on file at the City Clerk’s office.

Moved to adjourn subject to the call of the Mayor.
