Ida Grove, Iowa

Mayor Ernst presided over the session and called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. with the following members present: Carnine, Bargar, Rupert and Cates. Fineran was absent.


Motion by Council Member Bargar to approve the agenda with the additions of mowing an area on the trail, 6th Street repair, and the compost pile, second by Rupert. On a unanimous vote motion carried.


The Household Hazardous Materials Collection day is August 26th. City staff will be collecting payments at time of disposal. The first 20 people to sign up will receive a $25.00 credit toward the cost of disposal.


Motion by Council Member Rupert to approve the consent agenda, second by Council Member Bargar. On a unanimous vote motion carried.


The assisted living project is still proceeding, but no construction date has been set.


Motion by Council Member Rupert to approve selling the millings for $6.50 per ton when available stipulating if the City does the loading, the charge is an hour minimum, second by Council Member Cates. On a unanimous vote motion carried.


Mayor Ernst reported there are still many homeowners mowing grass into the street that can create problems in storm sewers. Another ad notifying property owners not to mow into streets will be done.


Motion by Council Member Rupert to adjourn, second by Council Member Bargar. On a unanimous vote motion carried.


Meeting adjourned at 7:14 p.m.
